Foley Hoag Welcomes Raj Vallabh, Intellectual Property Counsel

Brings Significant Experience in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering Areas and Patent Portfolio Development

Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Group is pleased to welcome Rajesh (Raj) Vallabh, a senior intellectual property lawyer with significant expertise in the electrical and mechanical engineering areas.

Raj joins Foley Hoag from the Boston IP Law Group, a practice he founded following several years as Counsel at WilmerHale. His experience at the Boston IP Law Group included client counseling, portfolio development, and patent opinion work, as well as patent prosecution. Prior to practicing IP law at WilmerHale, Raj spent five years at the New York intellectual property firm Kenyon & Kenyon. Prior to his legal career, he held a position as a design engineer at AirBorn Connectors, a manufacturer of electronic connectors for aerospace and commercial aviation applications.

Raj received B.S. degrees in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, both from Southern Methodist University. He received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. He is active in the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Boston Patent Law Association, and TiE Boston, a not-for-profit organization focused on fostering entrepreneurship.
