Richard A. Wiley |
Foley Hoag deeply mourns the loss of our friend and colleague Dick Wiley, who passed away on Friday, June 12, 2009.
Dick was a colleague and friend to many of us in the firm since his arrival in 2002. He was a member of the firm's Business Department and brought us significant expertise in the venture capital industry gained through his work with the venture capital corporations of Bank of Boston and The First National Bank of Boston. This expertise was further enhanced by his service on numerous corporate boards, many of them in the technology and medical device industries.
Before joining Foley Hoag, Dick served as Executive Vice President of Bank of Boston Corporation and an Executive Vice President of The First National Bank of Boston. Dick was also a partner at a number of other Boston law firms, including the former Bingham Dana & Gould (now Bingham McCutchen), Powers & Hall, Gaston & Snow, Csaplar and Bok, and Hill & Barlow.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Wiley; two sons, Garrett Wiley and Stewart Wiley; his daughter, Kendra (Wiley) Kilsdonk; and four grandchildren. For more information and to access the obituary that appeared in The Boston Globe, click here.
