The Massachusetts Department of Transportation recognized Foley Hoag LLP as a 2012 ECO Award winner for Excellence in Commuter Options.

Foley Hoag was one of 124 employers honored at a reception on March 29 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Director of Operations Holly Evers accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.
 
Through various statewide travel options programs, MassDOT supports employers in their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by decreasing drive-alone trips while encouraging employees to travel to work by transit, carpools, vanpools, bicycling or walking, or through support of telework programs. The organization acknowledges these endeavors with the annual ECO Awards.
 
This year, Foley Hoag placed in the Pinnacle Award category. To achieve this status, firms must meet certain criteria, including continued participation in the MassDOT-sponsored commuter programs. They also must offer 10 different transportation benefits to employees.
