Foley Hoag Advises RSA in Acquisition of Fortscale

April 27, 2018

Foley Hoag LLP recently advised global cybersecurity leader RSA in its acquisition of Fortscale, a behavioral analytics software provider.

RSA is a Dell Technologies business based in Bedford, MA. Its cybersecurity solutions help more than 90% of the world’s Fortune 500 companies detect and respond to advanced attacks; manage user identities and access; and reduce risk, fraud and cybercrime.

Israel-based Fortscale offers software that identifies deviations from normal user behaviors, highlighting potential risks such as shared user credentials, privileged user account abuse, geolocation and remote access anomalies.

The acquisition will provide RSA customers with the user and entity behavioral analytics capabilities offered by Fortscale, allowing them to keep up with their security event and incident management data, investigate issues and automate threat responses on a single, integrated platform.

Foley Hoag attorneys Gil Arie, Erica Rice and Craig Randall represented RSA in the transaction.
