Legal Recruiting Coordinator

Responsible for supporting the recruiting and onboarding process for on-campus recruiting, summer programs, entry-level and lateral associates, and other legal professionals firm-wide.



Responsibilities

  • Coordinate interview schedules, travel logistics, offer letters, status updates and other recruitment correspondence with lateral and law student candidates.
  • Plan and attend various recruitment activities for both student and experienced lateral candidates (on campus programming and receptions, callback and offer dinners, etc.).
  • Assist with all aspects of law school on-campus interviews (OCI), including candidate pre-selections, preparing OCI materials for attorneys and students, and executing and attending OCI receptions, interview days and hospitality suites.
  • Alongside Manager of Law Student Recruiting and Campus Outreach, act as the firm’s primary liaison with law school career services offices and facilitate firm participation at law school events throughout the academic year.
  • Facilitate callback interview process, including but not limited to scheduling, greeting and communicating with candidates and selecting attorney interviewers.
  • Coordinate and review interview feedback and support needs of the Hiring Committee in preparation for meetings and offer decisions, including preparing packets for hiring committee meetings.
  • In collaboration with the Legal Recruiting Director and Manager of Law Student Recruiting and Campus Outreach, plan and execute the firm’s summer associate program, including tracking and reviewing summer associate assignments and evaluations, assisting with event planning, sending event reminders and tracking RSVPs, attending summer associate social events and training sessions, and preparing materials for summer associate reviews.
  • Collaborate on updates to social media and other marketing materials related to on campus and lateral recruitment, and facilitate updates to the legal recruiting microsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum two years’ recruiting or administrative work experience in a law firm, law school, or professional services setting strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective client service skills, with proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and to recognize and treat confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule that will occasionally require travel and extended hours.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and database programs (e.g., LawCruit, viDesktop, iManage, etc.).
