  • Senior Patent Docketing Specialist

    Foley Hoag seeks a Senior Patent Docketing Specialist who has an advanced understanding of the United States, International, and various foreign Patent Office rules, procedures, and guidelines. He/She must be able to apply that knowledge across a broad range of tasks and quickly identify critical information and related response deadlines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: creating and maintaining patent prosecution files, maintaining databases, entering deadlines and other case-specific data into the docketing system, interpreting documents and identifying deadlines, preparing weekly and periodic reports, following-up on deadlines and supporting the learning of more junior docket specialists. The Senior Patent Docketing Specialist must be available to work overtime when required to meet the demands of this position. The Hardware Specialist is a primary contact within the IT Department for all repairs and maintenance of the firm’s computer equipment and related peripherals.     Foley Hoag LLP seeks a paralegal for the Business Department with 5+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal in large law firm and/or in house setting supporting either corporate transactions or fund formation lawyers. Responsibilities include supporting Business Department lawyers in preparation for, and the closing of, various business transactions including mergers and acquisitions, financings and private fund formations. Candidates should be proficient in researching state corporate filing requirements, drafting and filing documents required to form business entities, including corporations, partnership, limited liability companies and not-for-profit organizations, preparing votes and maintaining corporate and stock records, reviewing subscription agreements, preparing and filing UCC financing statements and obtaining certificates of good standing.  Knowledge and experience with Form D and Blue Sky filings a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with attorneys and clients are necessary.
