Patent Agent – Chemistry
June 3, 2020
Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department has an opening in our Boston or New York office for a patent agent with an advanced degree, preferably a Ph.D., in Chemistry.
We seek applicants with strong academic credentials, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and at least three years of experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of small molecules, pharmaceuticals, synthetic methods, polymer science, and drug discovery. Candidates should be registered patent agents.
We staff our clients’ patent matters leanly, affording patent agents an opportunity for significant responsibility and excellent career development. They typically work one-on-one with associates and partners, gain a depth of experience in a broad range of patent strategy, drafting, prosecution and diligence matters, and get immediate client contact. Such experience has contributed to the firm’s consistently excellent rankings in various national satisfaction surveys and industry recognition lists.
