Patent Agent/Technology Specialist – Computer Science

Foley Hoag seeks a patent agent or technology specialist with 1-3+ years of patent prosecution experience to join our Intellectual Property department. Applicants must have an advanced degree, or significant industry experience, in computer science or a related field (e.g. computer engineering, information engineering).

Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications with particular experience in patents for artificial intelligence, machine learning, image analysis, cryptography, and software architecture.  Experience with bioinformatics, quantum computing would be beneficial, but is not required.  Any successful candidate who is not a currently registered patent agent must be eligible to take the USPTO registration exam. Candidates are encouraged to review the USPTO eligibility criteria prior to applying.
