Patent Associate - Chemistry
December 11, 2018
Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department has an opening in its Boston office for an associate who is a registered patent attorney with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry.
We seek applicants with strong academic credentials, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and two to four years of patent prosecution experience after graduation from law school. Experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of small molecules, pharmaceuticals, synthetic methods, polymer science and drug discovery would be particularly useful. Candidates are required to have a PTO registration.
We staff our clients’ patent matters leanly, affording associates an opportunity for significant responsibility and excellent career development. Associates typically work one-on-one with partners, gain a depth of experience in a broad range of patent strategy, drafting, prosecution and diligence matters, and get immediate client contact. Such experience has contributed to the firm’s consistently excellent rankings in various national satisfaction surveys and industry recognition lists.
