Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department has an opening in our Boston or New York office for a registered patent agent with a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, or immunology.
We seek applicants with strong academic credentials, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and two or more years of patent prosecution experience. Experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of molecular biology, immunology, immunooncology, genetics, and agricultural biotechnology would be particularly useful.
We staff our clients’ patent matters leanly, affording patent agents an opportunity for significant responsibility and excellent career development. Associates typically work one-on-one with partners, gain a depth of experience in a broad range of patent strategy, drafting, prosecution and diligence matters, and get immediate client contact. Such experience has contributed to the firm’s consistently excellent rankings in various national satisfaction surveys and industry recognition lists.
