The Trademark Administrative Assistant will work under the supervision of the Senior Trademark Administration Manager to work in collaboration with the trademark paralegals and docketing team to provide support for a broad range of critical non-billable tasks associated with U.S. and foreign trademark filings.The Trademark Administrative Assistant will work under the supervision of the Senior Trademark Administration Manager to work in collaboration with the trademark paralegals and docketing team to provide support for a broad range of critical non-billable tasks associated with U.S. and foreign trademark filings.



Responsibilities

  • Review U.S. and foreign trademark docket updates
  • File POAs with USPTO, WIPO and foreign counsel
  • Prepare foreign filing fee estimates
  • Perform trademark status checks on PTO sites and through Saegis
  • Special projects and duties as directed by the Senior Trademark Administration Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of trademark docketing experience (trademark paralegal experience a plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of trademark docketing databases (FoundationIP a plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of USPTO practices and the ability to navigate the TMEP
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of domestic and foreign trademark procedures, terminology and deadlines required
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, analytical decision-making, proofreading and reading comprehension skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of docketing software programs
