2021: A Foundational Year for New York Cannabis
New York, striving not to be outdone by its neighbors, finally passed the Marihuana Regulation and Tax Act (“MRTA”), legalizing and regulating cannabis use and possession for adults 21 and older, and, most importantly, finally setting New York on track for the creation of a regulated adult-use marketplace. What are the trends that we see outlined in MRTA? And more so, where are the CCB and CAB likely to look at and consider in addressing any unanswered questions?
