Getting Real: A 'Video Podcast' Series: An Interview with Jesse Alderman

Hosted by Foley Hoag partner Veronica Renzi to generate dialogue among and build community with women lawyers

These days, we are looking at this widespread remote working scenario as an opportunity to enhance business relationships by reexamining professional boundaries and relying on means such as video conferences and phone calls. This "video podcast" series consists of discussions with female and male attorneys about issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope you find them interesting and helpful and we are grateful to all the lawyers who made time to talk with us.

Guest: Jesse Alderman, Partner, Foley Hoag LLP

In today’s episode, Veronica gets real with Jesse Alderman, partner and founder of Foley Hoag’s national Cannabis practice. Jesse is recognized by Chambers USA as a leading cannabis lawyer in one of the country’s fastest-growing industries.  He talks about the earliest days of the practice more than six years ago, when Foley Hoag became one of the first large law firms in the U.S. to enter the space. He describes his path from Associated Press journalist to administrative law associate to founder of a multi-disciplinary practice with dozens of lawyers serving hundreds of clients all over North America.
