Among the lasting changes the COVID-19 pandemic will have on U.S. workplaces is a shifting attitude toward remote work. After over a year of remote work, many employers are becoming more receptive to hybrid or full-time remote work arrangements with employees, even as widespread vaccinations and less restrictive CDC guidance have allowed employers to begin moving its employees back to physical workspaces. Before agreeing to remote work arrangements, however, employers must take into account a number of legal, tax and other considerations.
