Foley Hoag Adds to Government Strategies Team
J. Kevin Brennan Brings Additional Capitol Hill Experience From House of Representatives

The law firm Foley Hoag LLP welcomes J. Kevin Brennan, most recently Chief of Staff to Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), to its Government Strategies practice as a Senior Health Policy Specialist. Kevin will work with Foley Hoag’s team of lawyers, legislative and regulatory professionals serving health care, life sciences, and education clients.
Mr. Brennan brings two decades of experience working in Congressional offices and in related government strategies roles in the biotechnology industry as well as patient advocacy experience.

In the House of Representatives, Mr. Brennan assisted Representative DeLauro in her leadership and Appropriations Committee responsibilities, and in supervising the Washington and state offices of the Third District of Connecticut. Previously, Kevin was senior vice president of public policy and advocacy for the Arthritis Foundation, leading its federal advocacy in Washington DC.
Mr. Brennan also served as Representative Sherrod Brown’s (D-OH) legislative director during his tenure as ranking member of the House Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee; Senator Brown is currently the junior senator from Ohio. He also served as legislative assistant to Representative Tom Foglietta (D-PA), and in a senior position in Amgen’s Government Affairs Office, fostering strategic partnerships with patient organizations and professional societies. Mr. Brennan is a graduate of Boston College.
The Government Strategies practice also recently welcomed two accomplished hires from the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, Connie Garner and Stacey Sachs.
