Foley Hoag Ranked in Top 10 Worldwide for International Arbitration

Foley Hoag LLP was ranked in the top 10 worldwide in international arbitrations by The American Lawyer’s Focus Europe Summer 2011 Arbitration Scorecard, another accolade for the firm’s leading International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group.
Foley Hoag rose from No. 25 in 2009, the last year the Arbitration Scorecard was published, to No. 10 in 2011. The firm was noted for handling 10 arbitrations from 2009-2010, including several for a range of sovereign clients, according to The American Lawyer.
The firm also ranked No. 2 worldwide in the defense of states for claims worth more than $100 million, according to data from The American Lawyer.
Foley Hoag’s work with numerous international clients through its International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group has bolstered its reputation for advising foreign states and companies with complex legal issues. Chambers Global 2011 ranked the firm in its top tier and called it “a real force in international law disputes.”
The firm recently expanded its International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group to Paris, with the addition of partners Bruno Leurent and Thomas Bevilacqua. The two partners focus on international litigation and arbitration, with particular experience in the international commercial arbitration arena.
