Barbara Fiacco Nominated for Chambers USA Up and Coming IP Lawyer of the Year

Barbara Fiacco has been nominated for the Chambers USA Women in Law Up and Coming Intellectual Property Lawyer of the Year Award for 2012.
Barbara is one of five finalists from across the country. The winner will be announced during the Chambers USA Women in Law Awards on Feb. 2 in New York.
The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) recently recognized Barbara’s stature in the national intellectual property bar by electing her to its Board of Directors. AIPLA serves approximately 16,000 members from private and corporate practice, government service, and the academic community. She previously served as chair of AIPLA’s Patent Law Committee and is chairing the organization’s 2012 annual Mid-Winter Institute.
A partner in Foley Hoag LLP’s Intellectual Property Department, Barbara represents clients in complex intellectual property and patent litigation matters. Her technology-related practice focuses on the biomedical field, and she has successfully defended pharmaceutical and life sciences clients in significant patent infringement lawsuits and other commercial litigation.
