Foley Hoag Partner John Hancock Named a BTI Client Service All-Star

February 13, 2014

Foley Hoag LLP is pleased to announce that corporate partner John Hancock has been named to the 2014 BTI Client Service All-Stars list. Hancock is part of a select group of attorneys recognized by in-house corporate counsel as client service leaders.

Hancock is a corporate partner at Foley Hoag concentrating on corporate financing transactions, with a focus on initial public offerings. He represents clients in a variety of industries, with a particular focus on technology and life science companies. Hancock is one of 26 mergers and acquisitions attorneys on the All-Star list who are at the top of their field for client service. Hancock’s primary areas of practice were identified as securities, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

“We are very pleased that John has been named to the BTI Client Service All-Stars List,” said Foley Hoag co-managing partner William Kolb. “Client service excellence is a core value of the firm which John continually embodies.”

Results for the All-Stars list, produced by BTI Consulting Group, are obtained from candid feedback from in-depth, one-on-one interviews conducted by BTI with in-house counsel from Fortune 1000 companies and other large organizations. The only way to become a BTI Client Service All-Star is for corporate counsel to nominate an attorney based on his or her exceptional client service.

BTI identified six key factors that drive exceptional client service: client focus; innovative thought leadership; exceptional understanding of the client's business; legal skills; outsized value; and outstanding results.

Founded in 1989, the BTI Consulting Group is a leading provider of strategic research to the legal community.
