Foley Hoag LLP attorneys Hemmie Chang and David Halstead will be the featured presenters for "Top Ten Licensing and IP Issues," a webinar hosted by the Licensing Executives Society (LES) on October 21, 2014.
The webinar will highlight the major ways in which rules for structuring and documenting deals are changing, and serve as a refresher on the leading issues companies face, whether in readying a licensing portfolio for partnership or in undertaking due diligence on new opportunities
Among other matters, Chang and Halstead will discuss hot topics on royalty structure and assignment; letters of intent, and when they are binding; consequences of licensee patent challenges; and intellectual property pitfalls to avoid.
Chang serves as partner and Chair of Foley Hoag's Licensing & Strategic Alliances Practice Group. Halstead is a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property Department.
