Foley Hoag Partner Colin Zick to Speak at 6th Annual Forum on the Sunshine Act, Open Payments and Aggregate Spend Compliance
October 19, 2014
Foley Hoag LLP partner Colin Zick will speak at the 6th Annual Forum on the Sunshine Act, Open Payments and Aggregate Spend Compliance, being held October 20-22, 2014 in New York, NY.
With Phase 2 reporting now underway and the public release of the Open Payments data, companies are facing new challenges resulting from Sunshine Act compliance, including preparing for the downstream impact of data transparency. This solutions-driven event will focus on benchmarking and improving existing compliance programs, and offer practical tips to better manage the increasingly complex and often unclear Sunshine Act reporting requirements.
Zick, who co-chairs the firm's Healthcare Practice and Privacy & Data Security Practice, will present "Planning for 2015 – Bracing for the Impact of the Public Reports." This discussion will examine, among other things, how manufacturers have been dealing with press surrounding spending to health care professionals; how the public may view the data following the “dollars for docs” scandals; and training sales reps to respond to health care professional’ questions and concerns about disclosure in light of reactions to the first round of public data.
The 6th Annual Forum on the Sunshine Act, Open Payments and Aggregate Spend Compliance is being hosted by the American Conference Institute, and will take place at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Times Square.
