Foley Hoag Partner Kevin Conroy to Serve as Panelist at Eighth Annual Public Law Conference
April 6, 2015
Foley Hoag LLP partner Kevin Conroy will be a featured panelist at the Eighth Annual Public Law Conference in Boston on April 10, 2015. The focus of this year's event is democracy in action.
Conroy appears on the panel "Article 48 of the Massachusetts Constitution: Initiative Petitions," which will examine the legal mechanics, jurisprudence and salient issues regarding initiative petitions. Policy implications of “legislation by referendum” and Massachusetts’ recent experience with referendums, in addition to the legal issues raised, will also be discussed.
Joining Conroy as panelists are Boston 2024 Olympics opponent and former gubernatorial candidate Evan Falchuk, and former counsel to the House of Representatives Lou Rizoli. Additional conference highlights include the panels "What's New at the State House?" and "Public Protests and Demonstrations."
Conroy is a partner in Foley Hoag's Administrative Law Department, where he maintains a regulatory and government investigations practice. He has considerable experience with state investigations concerning false claims, consumer protection and wage and hour issues.
