Foley Hoag Represents Smack High in $1.6M Financing

Foley Hoag LLP’s client, Smack, Inc. recently raised $1.6 million in a seed capital financing. The round was led by Flybridge Capital Partners, and joined by Boston Seed Capital, an AngelList syndicate led by Wayne Chang and several other prominent angel investors.
Smack High is the company’s proprietary posting service that allows teens to connect within the context of school communities they are already engaged in, as well as the ability to connect within specific relevant topic and interest groups. With several hundreds of thousands of teens in communities currently operating across 26 states, Smack High plans to use the funding to broaden its nationwide community presence and continue to invest in its technology platform.
Foley Hoag attorneys Matthew Eckert and Prithvi Tanwar, who serve as outside general corporate counsel for Smack Inc., represented the company in the financing, with assistance from Jeremy Arak.
