Attorney Gregory Ploussios Joins Foley Hoag as Partner
Ploussios' Appointment Bolsters Firm’s Licensing and Strategic Alliances Group

Gregory Ploussios has joined Foley Hoag LLP as a partner in the Business Department. He will be a member of the firm’s Licensing and Strategic Alliances group in Foley Hoag’s Boston office.
Plousssios's practice emphasizes licensing, technology transfer and commercial transactions; venture capital financings; and general corporate law. He has experience advising startups and established companies in software and technology licensing, development and commercial agreements. He also advises technology companies and investors in financings and mergers and acquisitions. Ploussios has served as outside general counsel to a number of emerging technology companies, including companies developing and marketing bio-informatics solutions, patient portals, enterprise and SaaS software solutions for the insurance and healthcare industries, data center management solutions, music creation applications, and medical devices and therapeutics.
Ploussios comes to Foley Hoag from the Boston office of law firm Locke Lord, where he was a partner and previously co-chair of the legacy Edwards Wildman’s and Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge’s startup practice group.
Ploussios earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1990 and a law degree from Boston University – where he was an editor of the law review – in 1997.
