Corporate and Securities Attorney Stacie Aarestad Joins Foley Hoag as Partner

Stacie Aarestad has joined Foley Hoag LLP as a partner in the Business Department and a member of the Securities Practice Group and the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group.
Aarestad's practice will expand the firm's securities and mergers and acquisitions services. She has represented issuers in a broad range of capital market transactions, such as public and private offerings of debt and equity securities. Aarestad also has counseled public company clients on ongoing reporting obligations, corporate governance and related regulatory matters.
Aarestad has more than fifteen years of experience advising companies in the life sciences industry. In addition to representing these companies in capital market transactions, she acts as outside general counsel on ongoing issues of corporate governance.

Aarestad comes to Foley Hoag from the Boston office of Locke Lord LLP, where she served as Co-Chair of that firm’s Capital Markets Section. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and a Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law.
Aarestad is a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Education Foundation (MassBioEd), and was named a "Top Woman of Law" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
