Foley Hoag Announces Promotions to Counsel, International Counsel

Foley Hoag LLP recently announced associates Sharon Lincoln and Adam Wade have been promoted to Counsel, and international associate Diego Cadena has been promoted to International Counsel, effective January 1, 2016.

These attorneys strengthen many of Foley Hoag’s notable practices, including energy, cleantech and renewables; entrepreneurial services; energy project finance and development; taxation; international litigation and arbitration; International Court of Justice; Investor-State arbitration; and public international law.

  • Diego Cadena. Diego Cadena's practice focuses on international dispute resolution, especially in cases involving the representation of sovereign State clients before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes and other investor/State arbitral forums and before the International Court of Justice. He also provides representation in matters related to sovereign debt, financial restructuring, international financial litigation, and bilateral and multilateral agreements negotiations.
  • Sharon C. Lincoln. Sharon Lincoln advises nonprofit entities on formation, tax-exempt status, funding, governance, regulatory compliance, restructuring, international grant making, lobbying, unrelated business income, and mergers and acquisitions. She also assists clients in matters involving the Federal Internal Revenue Service, Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and Massachusetts Department of Revenue. As Chair of the firm's Nonprofit/Social Venture Practice group, Ms. Lincoln advises clients regarding new forms of business entities, such as benefit corporations.
  • Adam Wade. Adam Wade advises clients on a wide range of energy and renewable energy projects involving natural gas, geothermal, biomass, wind, solar, fuel cell and electric power. His practice has had a particular emphasis on distributed solar, including work on many multi-state tax equity portfolio financings, debt financings, joint ventures, project acquisitions, project structuring and development, power purchase agreements and net metering credit transactions.
