Foley Hoag Attorney Oonagh Sands Appointed Co-Chair of ASIL Space Law Interest Group

Foley Hoag LLP associate Oonagh Sands was recently elected Co-Chair of the American Society of International Law’s (ASIL) Space Law Interest Group (SpaceIG). SpaceIG serves as a forum, resource and community for scholars and practitioners of the international law governing the use and exploration of outer space. Sands will work with her fellow co-chair to promote a wider relevance of this area of law for international lawyers.
As a member of Foley Hoag's Sovereign Representation and International Litigation & Arbitration groups, Sands' practice is focused on public international law and investor-State arbitration, where she acts for sovereign States and their State-owned entities. She also provides advice on a wide range of public international law issues, including territorial and maritime boundary disputes, as well as the law of sovereign immunity.
ASIL is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational membership organization, which fosters the study of international law and promotes the establishment and maintenance of international relations on the basis of law and justice.
