Foley Hoag Attorney Christina Beharry to Serve as Co-Chair and Moderator at Damages in International Arbitration Conference

Christina Beharry, a senior associate in Foley Hoag LLP's International Litigation and Arbitration Practice, serves as co-chair of the Fifth Annual Damages in International Arbitration Conference on September 16, 2016 at the Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C.  The conference is hosted by Juris Conferences, a leading organization developed to promote dialogue throughout the International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution community.

Beharry will also moderate a panel titled “Are Standards of Compensation getting Lost in Translation?” Panel topics will include differences between full reparation and fair market value and other valuation standards; translating legal terms into meaningful practices for valuation; fair market value and the difference between market value and fair value; and determining if valuation is objective or subjective, and if subjective legal standards are compatible with valuation standards.

Beharry’s practice at Foley Hoag focuses on public international law, investor-state and commercial arbitration, and trade and investment policy. She has public and private sector experience in international arbitration proceedings and has experience working with valuation experts to advise clients on complex financial matters related to the valuation of businesses, environmental damages, and compensation for adverse human health impacts.
