Foley Hoag Advises Brammo in Sale to Cummins Inc.

December 21, 2017

Foley Hoag LLP recently advised Brammo, Inc., a designer and developer of battery packs for mobile and stationary applications, in the sale of its assets to global power leader Cummins Inc.

Brammo, an electric vehicle technology company headquartered in Oregon, has made great strides in the development of electric energy storage technology for mobile and stationary applications since its inception in 2002.

Indiana-based Cummins is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies in approximately 190 countries and territories. Its acquisition of Brammo moves Cummins closer to its goal of being a leading provider of electrified power systems. Operations from the acquisition will report under Cummins’ recently formed Electrification Business and continue to be based in Oregon.

Foley Hoag attorneys Bruce Kinn, Daniel Clevenger, Patrick Connolly, Terry Martland, Nicola Lemay, Lauren Tran and Rosina Mummolo advised Brammo in the transaction.
