Foley Hoag Attorney Ivan Urzhumov to Speak at 9th Annual Moscow Dispute Resolution Conference

Foley Hoag LLP counsel Ivan Urzhumov will be a featured speaker at the 9th Annual Moscow Conference on the Resolution of International Business Disputes, being held in Moscow, Russia on December 8. The conference, co-organized by the ABA Section of International Law and the Russian Arbitration Association (RAA), is devoted to topics of international arbitration and litigation involving parties from Russia and the CIS region. Foley Hoag is a sponsor of the event.

Urzhumov’s panel will concentrate on issues arising out of the recent cases on recognition and enforcement of Russian court decisions and arbitral awards in France, focusing in particular on the example provided by the recent Maximov v. OJSC NLMK case.

Urzhumov is a member of Foley Hoag’s International Arbitration and Litigation Department. He has experience working on commercial and investment arbitration cases under ICC, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules. His practice also encompasses international litigation, including recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, taking of evidence abroad and obtaining conservatory measures in support of cross-border proceedings.
