Foley Hoag Promotes Four Attorneys to Partnership

Foley Hoag LLP has announced the elevations of attorneys Kristyn Bunce DeFilipp, Philip Choi, Patrick Connolly and Adrienne Ellman to partnership status at the firm, effective January 1, 2018.

  • Kristyn Bunce DeFilipp. DeFilipp is an experienced litigator with a focus on healthcare adjacent disputes, complex commercial litigation, and labor and employment issues. She focuses on strategic solutions for business disputes, working closely with her clients to determine the optimal course of action. Those clients include multi-national corporations, technology companies at all stages, healthcare providers and trade associations.
  • Philip Choi, Ph.D. Choi, a registered patent attorney, has obtained numerous domestic and foreign patents for corporate, academic, and independent research institutions in a wide range of life sciences technical areas. He also has expertise in monetizing patent royalties, conducting interference proceedings, and protecting and enforcing IP rights covering blockbuster therapeutics against biosimilars manufacturers.
  • Patrick Connolly. Connolly maintains a diverse corporate practice, focused on advising sophisticated entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies involved in the technology and life sciences spaces. He advises clients throughout the lifecycle of their businesses, including start-up matters, venture capital financing, commercial transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Connolly also represents investors in venture capital transactions, and buyers in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Adrienne Ellman. Ellman advises corporate and private equity clients on a full range of public and private transactions. Her experience includes domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, spinoffs and other strategic transactions. Ellman also regularly advises clients on corporate governance and general corporate matters as well as entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies on early-stage business matters and capital raising activities.
