Foley Hoag Counsel Ivan Urzhumov to Speak at RAA Debt Recovery Conference

Foley Hoag LLP counsel Ivan Urzhumov will be a featured speaker at the annual Russian Arbitration Association (RAA) conference on cross-border debt recovery, to be held in Moscow, Russia on June 22, 2017.
This year’s conference, themed "Collecting Bad Debts: Throwing Good Money after Bad?," will offer four tracks devoted to third party funding, assets tracing, fraud litigation/asset recovery, and experts in arbitration. Urzhumov will present a case study as part of the fraud litigation and asset recovery track and will deal with the topic of “Arresting Russian Assets in France.”
Urzhumov is a member of Foley Hoag’s International Arbitration and Litigation Department. He focuses his practice on international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as cross-border litigations involving asset tracing, debt recovery and fraud litigation. His practice also encompasses enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, taking of evidence abroad and obtaining conservatory measures in support of foreign proceedings.
Created in 2013, the RAA represents the broad interests of business, legal and education communities involved in alternative dispute resolution in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The organization’s main objective is the development of arbitration in the Russian Federation and the CIS countries.
