November 13, 2018
Foley Hoag LLP partner Tafadzwa Pasipanodya will be a featured speaker at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) Pan-African Interactive Workshop on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Contracts for Sustainable Infrastructure, taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa from November 14-16, 2018.
The workshop gathers African officials and international policy experts to provide a better understanding of the relationship between infrastructure and sustainable development, and the role of PPPs in this process. Participants will explore why governments and donors continue to promote PPPs; the environmental, social, economic and financial risk of infrastructure projects; PPP contracts; and current developments in PPP policy and law.
Pasipanodya will lead multiple training sessions on the drafting and negotiation of PPP contracts, as well as on the relationship between PPP contracts and domestic law.

Her practice is focused on advising States in investor-State arbitrations and State-to-State disputes concerning mineral resources, environmental harm, territorial and maritime claims, as well as human rights.
