September 28, 2018
Foley Hoag LLP associate Jeremy Meisinger was the recipient of Victim Rights Law Center’s Shining Star Award, presented at the organization's 15th Anniversary Celebration on September 27, 2018 in Boston.
The Shining Star Award, given annually by the Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC), recognizes a pro bono attorney for exceptional compassion, dedication and contributions to the VRLC and the sexual assault victims that it serves. The VRLC recognized Meisinger for his longstanding commitment to the organization; compassion and sensitivity in his casework; and deep understanding of the complex legal issues involved in sexual violence.
At Foley Hoag, Meisinger counsels public and private sector clients on a variety of regulatory questions, in such contexts as healthcare, energy, real estate and development, and data privacy. He also advises clients under investigation by federal and state regulatory agencies.
Founded as the first law center in the nation dedicated solely to serving the legal needs of sexual assault victims, the VRLC is a leader in representing sexual assault victims’ legal rights in the civil context. The organization not only provides legal representation to victims of rape and sexual assault to help rebuild their lives, but also promotes a national movement committed to seeking justice for every rape and sexual assault victim.
