Foley Hoag LLP counsel and United Nations practice chair Christina Hioureas will be a featured speaker at the Singapore Convention on Mediation Signing Ceremony and Conference on August 7, 2019 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.

The Signing Ceremony and Conference is an invitation-only event that will gather more than 700 participants, including ministerial-level delegations from around the world, senior UN and UNCITRAL officials, high court judges, bar associations presidents, chairpersons and board members of dispute resolution institutions, and law firm managing partners.

Hioureas will speak at a breakout session entitled “Efficiencies and Alliances in Partnerships.” She will discuss bilateral, plurilateral and multilateral approaches to dispute resolution; the regulatory and institutional factors that make specific venues attractive dispute resolution hubs; and how jurisdictions can enhance the public-private partnership and collectively contribute to creating a trusted and reputable international dispute resolution hub.

As a member of Foley Hoag’s International Litigation & Arbitration Department, Hioureas represents States, private and State-owned entities, and individuals on international disputes and public international law matters, and advises States on matters before the United Nations and its bodies.
