Foley Hoag to Participate in 'All in for Advancement' Initiative to Promote Workplace Diversity and Inclusion
February 4, 2019
Foley Hoag LLP is pleased to announce it has been selected to take part in the pilot cohort of All in for Advancement, a culture change initiative aimed at improving gender acumen and inclusion within office cultures. The year-long program is hosted by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and Babson College. Foley Hoag participants will include Co-Managing Partner Kenneth Leonetti, partners Mark Barnett and Kristyn DeFilipp, and senior career development manager Kimberly Curry.
The All in for Advancement program will educate its participants to develop the strategy and influence needed to sustain change initiatives that build gender intelligence and promote equitable and inclusive work environments. Participants will develop actionable solutions to advance female professionals across the Greater Boston business community. The curriculum, developed and taught by Babson faculty, will consist of curated educational sessions on gender acumen, entrepreneurial behavior and design thinking and stewarding culture change in the workplace.
Foley Hoag’s participation in All in for Advancement is sponsored by Foley Hoag’s Women’s Forum, which aims to foster women leaders and is focused on recruiting, retention, career advancement and business development activities for women attorneys. The forum serves as an internal network where mentoring circles, consisting of women attorneys across various departments, meet informally to discuss issues pertaining to business development, career advancement and work/life balance. It also focuses on nurturing skill development and opening doors to external networks to support the career and business goals of Foley Hoag’s women lawyers at every level.
DeFilipp, who serves as a co-chair of the Women’s Forum, said “our participation in this initiative provides us with the valuable opportunity to work and learn from other program participants while reaffirming our firm’s commitment to gender equity in the workplace.”
Foley Hoag will be the only law firm in the pilot cohort.
