Foley Hoag Partner Diana Paraguacuto-Mahéo to Speak at GIAC Arbitration Days

Foley Hoag LLP partner Diana Paraguacuto-Mahéo will be a featured speaker at the sixth annual GIAC Arbitration Days, taking place from October 9-11, 2019 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The conference features panels composed of leading advocates, counsels, experts and arbitrators who will discuss distinct topics of international arbitration. This year’s topic is the “Role of Dispute Resolution in State Economy.”
Paraguacuto-Mahéo will present “Mediation in Multinational Dispute Cases: National and International Perspective,” a discussion the development of international mediation both in international commercial disputes and in investment disputes. She will explore how the development of international mediation requires a push to provide users of mediation with greater predictability and quality in procedures and outcome, and highlight the special tension that exists between predictability and flexibility.
