Foley Hoag Partner Constantinos Salonidis to Co-Teach a Melbourne Law Masters Course on International Investment Law and Arbitration
November 4, 2019
Foley Hoag LLP partner Constantinos Salonidis has been invited to co-teach “International Investment Law and Arbitration” with senior lecturer Dr. Jarrod Hepburn at the 2019 Masters program of the University of Melbourne School of Law.
The Melbourne Law Masters program gathers more than 70 international experts and 130 Australian practitioners to offer an extensive range of international law subjects. The Melbourne Law School is ranked the number one law school in Australia.
In his course, taking place from November 6-12, 2019, Salonidis will cover substantive and procedural aspects of the protection of foreign investment under customary international law and international investment treaties. He will explore a series of case studies to evaluate the impact of investment treaty jurisprudence across a range of core values, including public health, environmental regulation and the protection of human rights.
As a member of the firm’s International Litigation & Arbitration Department, Salonidis focuses on international dispute resolution, especially in cases before the International Court of Justice and arbitration panels administered under the ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC Arbitration Rules, and associated proceedings in various jurisdictions.
