Foley Hoag Counsel Christina Beharry to Speak at University College London on Remedies in International Investment Law

Foley Hoag LLP counsel Christina Beharry will be a guest speaker at the University College London on the topic of Current Issues in Remedies in International Investment Law, taking place on October 17, 2019.

Beharry will join UCL faculty member Dr. Martins Paparinskis for a candid discussion on recent developments in law and practice. They will address sources of law, the role of restitution (in comparison to other forms of reparation), various permutations of compensation claims, approaches to quantifying damages and principles limiting compensation.

Beharry’s practice at Foley Hoag focuses on public international law, investor-state and commercial arbitration, and trade and investment policy. She has public and private sector experience in international arbitration proceedings and has experience working with valuation experts to advise clients on complex financial matters related to the valuation of businesses, environmental damages, and compensation for adverse human health impacts.
