Foley Hoag Partner Diana Paraguacuto-Mahéo to Speak at 9th ICC MENA Conference

February 25, 2021

Foley Hoag LLP partner Diana Paraguacuto-Mahéo will speak at the 9th ICC MENA Conference on February 25, 2021. The conference will offer a series of monthly workshops, from February to April, on the range of available ICC dispute resolution tools, which function as effective alternatives to costly and lengthy court litigation proceedings. February’s workshop theme is “ICC Dispute Resolution Solutions That Won’t Break the Bank: SME Labs,” and will concentrate on selecting the most appropriate dispute resolution mechanism for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups.

Paraguacuto-Mahéo will participate on two panels: the first will focus on ICC mediation as an efficient and cost effective solution for amicable settlement between parties; the second will focus on the interaction between mediation and other forms of dispute resolution.

Paraguacuto-Mahéo is a partner in Foley Hoag's Paris office and a member of the International Litigation & Arbitration Department, where she specializes in international arbitration and litigation, alternative dispute resolution and sovereign representation. She is also co-chair of the Task Force on Emergency Arbitrator of the ICC International Commission and President of the Global Pound Conference in Paris. Paraguacuto-Mahéo regularly serves as counsel in complex arbitral proceedings either ad hoc or held under the auspices of major institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and the Centre de Mediation et d’Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP).
