Foley Hoag Advises Datadog in Acquisition of Timber Technologies

Foley Hoag LLP advised Datadog, Inc. (NASDAQ: DDOG), a monitoring and security platform for cloud applications, in its acquisition of Timber Technologies, the developers of a vendor-agnostic, high-performance observability data pipeline. The acquisition will allow Datadog to expand on its vision to build the ultimate observability pipeline for logs, metrics and traces, and improve the monitoring experience for engineering teams around the world. Under the terms of the acquisition, Timber Technologies’ CEO and CTO will join Datadog’s product and engineering teams, respectively, and the core team from Timber Technologies will become Datadog employees.

Datadog is headquartered in New York City, with offices around the globe. The company offers a monitoring and security platform for cloud applications, which integrates and automates infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring and log management to provide unified, real-time observability of a businesses’ entire technology stack.
