Foley Hoag Partner Christina Hioureas to Speak on Dispositive Relief in International Arbitration
April 6, 2022
Foley Hoag Partner and UN Practice Group Chair Christina Hioureas will be the featured speaker at the International Law Association seminar entitled “International Arbitration Procedure: Dispositive Relief” organized by the International Law Association, held at the University of Nottingham School of Law on April 7, 2022.
Hioureas will discuss the various arbitral institution rules and commentaries addressing summary disposition, and how the COVID-19 pandemic and a pressing need for time and cost-efficient proceedings may have increased the acceptability of such approaches to arbitration.
At Foley Hoag, Hioureas represents states, private and state-owned entities, and individuals on international disputes and public international law matters and advises states on matters before the United Nations and its bodies. She regularly serves as arbitrator in international commercial disputes.
