June 28, 2022

Foley Hoag LLP and several attorneys from its Washington, D.C. office were recognized on the 2021 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll. The Honor Roll is an annual tribute to D.C. The initiative acknowledges attorneys who have performed 50 hours or more of pro bono service during the last calendar year.

Foley Hoag attorneys earning High Honors (for performing over 100 hours of pro bono work) include Clara Brillembourg, Ross Margulies, Rumbidzai Maweni, James Montgomery, Katherine Peiffer and Gare Smith. Attorneys receiving Honors (for performing 50 or more hours) include Haider Andazola, Thomas Barker, Rebecca Gerome, Diem Huong Ho, John Marston, Luciano Racco, Alexander Somodevilla, Arsalan Suleman and Isabella Uria.

The attorneys recognized this year worked on a variety of pro bono matters, including, representing clients fleeing their home countries and seeking political asylum in the U.S., defending indigent criminal defendants, applying for humanitarian parole for endangered Afghans, providing corporate advice to nonprofits, and challenging police misconduct.
