USPTO Awards Foley Hoag, Attorneys with 2021 Patent Pro Bono Achievement Certificates

June 15, 2022

Foley Hoag LLP attorneys Greg Passa and Raj Vallabh, as well as technology specialist Ila Anand, have been awarded 2021 Patent Pro Bono Achievement Certificates by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The firm was also awarded a certificate.

The firm was awarded the certificate for its support of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston by providing at least 500 hours of volunteer services to financially under-resourced independent inventors and small businesses. Individuals were recognized for providing at least 50 hours towards the same.

Established under the 2011 America Invents Act, the USPTO’s Patent Pro Bono Program is a nationwide network of independently operated regional programs that match volunteer practitioners with inventors for the purpose of securing patent protection. Each regional program provides services for residents of one or more states. Collectively they cover our entire country.

Greg Passa and Raj Vallabh are both registered patent attorneys in Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department. Technology specialist Ila Anand is a registered patent agent with the firm’s Patent Prosecution, Strategy & Management Practice.
