Foley Hoag Expands Immigration Law Capabilities in New York with Addition of Amy Haberman as Partner

Amy Haberman has joined Foley Hoag LLP as a partner in the Immigration practice, where she will focus on helping domestic and multinational corporate clients address their employment-based immigration needs. She is resident in the firm’s New York office.

Haberman advises clients on the immigration consequences of mergers and acquisitions, the I-9 process, and compliance with government agency statutory and regulatory record keeping requirements.

Haberman also has significant experience counseling start-up companies on strategies for obtaining approvals for foreign workers important to their businesses’ growth. In addition, she counsels individual clients on family-based immigration matters, including obtaining permanent resident status and citizenship.

Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Haberman was at McCarter & English LLP in New York, where she served as chair of the Labor & Employment Law Practice. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Juris Doctorate from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.
