This annual ceremony is national in scope, and celebrates the achievements of distinguished women lawyers and jurists from across the country.
Each year, the NBA-WLD recognizes women lawyers for their exceptional achievements. Select women are nominated for the following awards: outstanding corporate (in-house) counsel, outstanding solo/small firm, outstanding minority partner in a majority firm, excellence in the judiciary, outstanding young lawyer, outstanding woman lawyer in politics, outstanding public service, and WLD hidden figure.
Joffre is a member of Foley Hoag's Litigation Department and co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Group. A former federal prosecutor at the U.S. Attorney’s office in Boston, she focuses her practice on defending corporations and executives in criminal and civil government investigations, particularly healthcare fraud matters. Joffre also leads targeted internal investigations of sensitive, high-profile matters concerning mismanagement, corruption, export control violations and allegations of sexual harassment and racial discrimination. Currently, she serves as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Women’s Leadership & Advancement Forum.
Established in 1972, the NBA-WLD serves as a vehicle for women in the practice of law to address the issues and problems that particularly affect, interest and concern Black women.
