Foley Hoag Expands Capital Markets Practice with New Partner Samita T. Ali-Khan

Attorney Samita T. Ali-Khan has joined Foley Hoag LLP as a partner in the Capital Markets practice. Ali-Khan will deepen Foley Hoag’s capabilities in capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, U.S. and international business transactions, restructuring transactions, business counseling, debt finance transactions and private equity transactions.

Ali-Khan advises a wide range of private equity sponsors and public and private corporate clients in exempt high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings and private placement debt offerings in the U.S., Europe and Asia. She also has notable experience advising banks and issuers in registered and private placement equity and rights offerings, representing banks and private equity sponsors in syndicated loan financings, advising corporate clients and private equity sponsors in cross-border restructurings of businesses, and standalone mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining Foley Hoag, Ali-Khan was a partner in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP and previously an associate in the London and New York offices of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Africana Studies from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The University of Chicago Law School.
