Foley Hoag Counsels IFPASS group as part of a partnership with FORSIDES group

December 19, 2019

The IFPASS (Insurance Training Institute) and FORSIDES (actuarial consultancy) groups have signed a strategic partnership, materializing, on the one hand, the acquisition of reciprocal shareholdings between IFPASS Services and the FORSIDES group and, on the other hand, the takeover by the IFPASS Group of Eliza Formation (subsidiary of the FORSIDES group).

This partnership aims to develop the activities of the IFPASS and FORSIDES Groups based on their respective skills.

The insurance profession training institute contributes to the training of existing employees or to new entrants by way of continuous professional training or initial training.

Eliza Formation, a continuing education organization, supports insurance and reinsurance companies, provident institutions, mutual societies, insurance intermediaries, banks and management companies, in training for the insurance, banking and finance fields.

These training courses, which are intended for professionals and administrators of these organizations, relate to governance, risk management, economic and financial management and compliance.

Eliza’s training offer complements that offered by the IFPASS group, in particular by strengthening those relating to the training of administrators in the insurance sector.

This rapprochement fits perfectly into the strategy of these two groups which places excellence at the heart of it, both in the insurance sector and in that of finance in the broad sense.

For this operation, Foley Hoag with Frédéric Cohen, partner in charge of Corporate / M&A practice and Alexandre Plas, associate, advised the IFPASS Group.
