Alexander Chatterley is a technology specialist and Registered Patent Agent in Foley Hoag's Intellectual Property Department. Dr. Chatterley assists with preparation, prosecution and litigation of U.S. and foreign patent applications in the areas of chemistry and pharmaceuticals.
Prior to his career at Foley Hoag, Dr. Chatterley was involved in a significant number of drug discovery efforts, most recently as a post-doctoral research associate under Professor Peter Wipf at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to this posting, he was employed as a senior research scientist with Albany Molecular Research Inc. at Erl Wood Manor, Eli Lilly’s premier research facility in Europe.
In his graduate work, Dr. Chatterley developed new routes towards the Coleophomone group of natural products under the tutelage of Professor Ray Jones of Loughborough University and Dr. Martin Owton of Eli Lilly.
