Contact Information

Patrick Connolly is a partner in the firm’s Business Department. He maintains a diverse business practice, focused on advising entrepreneurs and emerging growth clients on early-stage business matters, angel and venture financing, commercial transactions and mergers and acquisitions. In addition to emerging growth company clients, Patrick has represented a variety of investors in venture capital transactions.

Patrick serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Emerging Company and Venture Capital group.

Representative Experience

  • Represented Alloy Therapeutics as an investor in $21 million Series A Preferred Stock Financing of Vernal Biosciences, a manufacturer of high purity mRNA for research and clinical use
  • Represented H.I.G. BioHealth Partners and Accelmed Partners as new investors and co-leads in the $52 million upsized Series B financing of digital therapeutics company Click Therapeutics, Inc. (“Click”).
  • Represented Alcyone Therapeutics in relation to a $23.0 million financing led by funds affiliated with RTW Investments, LP., to support its pioneering development of next-generation precision central nervous system therapies
  • Represented Alloy Therapeutics in a $75.0 million Series C Financing led by 8VC, Presight Capital and Peter Thiel 
  • Represented Ellevation, a mission-driven software company focused exclusively on English Learners and the educators who serve them, in its sale to Curriculum Associates.
  • Assisted biotechnology ecosystem company Alloy Therapeutics, Inc. with the formation of Broadwing Bio LLC, a joint venture with Maze Therapeutics, Inc., to develop targeted antibody therapies for the treatment of ophthalmic diseases 
  • Represented Zapata Computing, a quantum software company empowering enterprise teams to accelerate quantum solutions and capabilities, in closing its $38 million Series B financing, led by Comcast Ventures, Pitango and Prelude Ventures
  • Represented Soriant Healthcare, a market leader in partnering with hospitals and health systems to accelerate performance and reduce expenditures in all support services, in its sale to Vizient, the nation's largest member-driven health care performance improvement company
  • Represented rental platform Zumper in a $60 million Series D round led by 
  • Represented OwnerIQ, a provider of online advertising services and marketing channels for brands, retailers and manufacturers, in its acquisition by Inmar (a portfolio company of OMERS Private Equity)
  • Represented quantum computing company Zapata Computing in its $21 million Series A financing 
  • Represented Zumper Inc. in its $46 million Series C financing
  • Represented in its Series A financing led by EBSC
  • Represented Morphic Therapeutic in its $80 million Series B financing
  • Represented Brammo, Inc. in the sale of its assets to global power leader Cummins Inc.
  • Represented Curriculum Associates in its acquisition of Motion Math, Inc.
  • Represented String Automotive in its acquisition by Experian Automotive, a division of Experian Plc.
  • Represented Arsanis, Inc. in closing of $45.5 million Series D financing 
  • Represented Morphic Therapeutic in $51.5 million Series A financing 
  • Represented Immunetics, Inc., in its sale to Oxford Immunotec Global PLC
  • Represented Zumper Inc. in its $17.6 million Series B funding led by Breyer Capital and Foxhaven Asset Management, including follow-up funding from existing investors
  • Represented WHI Solutions Inc. in sale to eBay Inc.
  • Represented ThomasPartners in sale to The Charles Schwab Corporation
  • Represented OnShape in its $25 million Series B financing 
  • Represented electric vehicle company in multiple rounds of venture financing and various commercial transactions
  • Has represented numerous venture capital firms in their portfolio investment activities
  • Represented biotechnology platform technology start-up in its organization and $1.5 million Series A financing
