I primarily support our international litigation and arbitration attorneys in investor-state and international commercial arbitrations.

Within the International Litigation & Arbitration practice, Andreamarie Efthymiou works closely with attorneys to develop and litigate or arbitrate cases. Andrea is also well versed in conducting related legal research and reviewing documents and translations for accuracy.

  • Assisted the Cypriot lead negotiator on behalf of the European Union on drafting resolutions on gender equality adopted by the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly.
  • KrisEnergy Bangladesh Limited v. People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation – Paralegal to Foley Hoag counsel representing Petrobangla and Bangladesh in a taxation dispute under the ICSID Convention involving a request for provisional measures.
  • Bapex and Petrobangla v. Niko Resources Ltd. – Paralegal to Foley Hoag counsel to Bangladesh and two State entities in annulment proceedings arising from a claim for payment under a contract procured by corruption.
  • Niko Exploration (Block 9) Ltd. v. Bangladesh and Bangladesh Oil and Gas Mineral Corp – Paralegal to Foley Hoag counsel to Bangladesh State-owned oil and gas company in a contract-based ICSID arbitration proceeding, involving corruption and claims of res judicata.
  • Yves Martine Garnier v. The Dominican Republic –  Paralegal to Foley Hoag counsel to the Dominican Republic in a waste-management case brought under the FR-DR BIT. 
  • Paralegal on team led by Christina Hioureas engaged to represent pro bono the Global Justice Center in preparing and filing submissions with UN Special Rapporteurs and other UN Stakeholders regarding the Dobbs decision.
